12/13/09 -  While we don't anticpate any changes in the schedule, please check your game schedule 1 day before the tournament in the event that game schedule may need to be adjusted at the last minute.  

Below is a quick reminder on several important things to ensure you have an enjoyable experience:

REGISTRATION & CHECK-IN

•       Bring a printed copy of team roster for registration. Registration is one (1) hour prior to your first game on Sat Dec 19 at the field.  Each player must have a valid CYSA, US Club or AYSO player cards and medical release form.  Player without a valid ID card or medical release form will not be allowed to play.  There will be no player addition after registration. Each team must also have a licensed coach, assistant coach or team manager with a valid photo ID to play a game. 

•       You must check in 1 hour prior to each game at the Field Marshal table with your players and coach ID cards.  After each game, the score card must be signed by the referee and coaches, and returned to the Field Marshal immediately in exchange for the ID cards.  

  

CONDUCT

•       Please thoroughly review the tournament rules in advance.

•       Please keep our city clean by depositing trash into trash cans

•       Coaches have complete responsibility for the conduct of the players, bench, families and the entire sideline at all times.

•       Respect the referees and other teams.  Contact the Field Marshal for issues.

•       In the event of inclement weather, call the Irvine MUDD line at 949-724-6833 for field status.

The Orange County Tournament of Champions is a Class I & III tournament open to all Boys & Girls U8 – U14 from CYSA and all teams affiliated with USSF.  Our 2008 TOC tournament event was a tremendous success with 180 teams from Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego counties and 38 Fall League bracket champions participating.  Last year’s event was sold out 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Registration Deadline:  We reserve the right to close registration early if all available spots are full. 

 

Late Registration: Teams applying after the registration deadline will be accessed an additional $50.00 and will be placed on a waiting list. It is at the sole discretion of the tournament committee to offer any late team a placement in the tournament after the deadline. If that does not occur, a full refund will be given.

Registration Acceptance and Scheduling: No teams will be accepted and placed on tournament schedule until the registration fee is paid in full by November 27, 2009.  After this date, open space will be allotted to the first team on the waiting list that have submitted registration fee in full. 

Field Locations: All games will be played in the beautifully maintained fields in the city of Irvine, conveniently located in the heart of Orange County  

Scheduling Conflicts: We will do our best to minimize schedule conflicts for head coaches only who coach more than one team.  However, due to field availability and scheduling constraints, we make no guarantee to zero conflict. In addition, the beginning of each game in a specific field will be approxmiately 75 minutes apart. While all fields will be relatively close to each other,  head coaches with more than one team are recommended to have assistant coaches in place in the event of traffic congestion, partial or complete game overlap.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application. Please be sure to read the Tournament Rules of Competition prior to registration.
